Wow. Three posts in one day - I think that may be a new record for me! Here are some cute photos from when we went to play at the Neumann's last week. (Thanks for the photos Annie!)

Riding off into the sunset...

Rainy Day Trip

It was rainy and cold yesterday, so we decided to take a trip to the MOA. Jeremy normally hates the MOA and will do anything to avoid going there, but he joined "America on the Move" at work and needs to clock 5,000 steps a day. I guess the Mall of America is a good place to get some walking in. Unfortunately, about 2 million other people had the same idea yesterday...

We went to Lego Land and built some stuff. Evan was most impressed with the Lego Airplane ("Aye-peen!") He stood here forever looking at it.
We bought Evan a 1/2 price wristband for Nickelodeon Universe, but the lines took so long he was only able to go on five rides in about 2 hours. It was crazy busy. He rode on the "Big Rigs," the Blue's Clue's flying dogs, the baby carousel, the big carousel, and spent about .5 seconds in the inflatable Sponge Bob Pineapple.

In line for the carousel showing Daddy which animal he wanted to ride on - he told everyone behind him in line, too. I could hear him making animal noises from 20 feet away (ROAR!) Eventually, he settled on the horse.

BUT, Evan's most favorite ride of all...

Was the escalator.

Fun Times in the Great Outdoors

Evan loves to do three things:

1. Ride his Tractor and Spaceship up and down the block (up, down, up, down, up, down) while yelling and singing.

2. Stopping to look at bugs.

3. Finding neat things in the garage to play with. This time it was a sled. I think our crazy MN seasons have Evan confused...

"More please?"

We do these three things all day, every day when its nice out. What in the world are we going to do when Winter returns!? Oh, yeah - I guess we have the sled...

Poor neglected blog...its been too darn nice out!

Hi!

Mmm...my first popsicle!

Did I mention we got a new pool boy? He likes to skim the pool in his birthday suit but none of the neighbors have complained yet.

Well, he certainly doesn't get them from ME!

Ha! I caught you green-handed! If you've talked to me lately, you know we are becoming exasperated by Evan eating everything he finds. This time is was a green Crayola marker. Thank goodness they are non-toxic...I thought this stage was supposed to end around 18 months!?!

Show me those pearly whites, er...greens.

Who's bright idea was it to build a front porch? Oh yeah, mine. Poor Jeremy - it took 3 hours with a (insert name of machinery Jeremy is holding here) to break apart this one concrete step. It was ridiculously hard! Stay tuned for future updates about this project - it may take us all summer!

It must be Spring, because I certainly have been neglecting this blog - we have been outside every chance we get, and my hands have been too full of dirt and muck to break out the camera. Below is a picture of my favorite thing about Spring - the fragrant lilacs in our backyard! (Oh yeah, and no snow.) Here are a few highlights that I did happen to photograph the past week...

We had a garage sale last Saturday. It was bitter cold until about 3pm, and we didn't make much money...but we did manage to get rid of a lot of junk, which is why I love having garage sales. I don't know how we managed to accumulate so much stuff! Annie, Derek, Emma and Jonathan stopped by to see how we were doing. I managed to unload some baby stuff on them, and Emma and Evan had a great time playing together.

Grandma Barb found Evan a battery operated four-wheeler at a garage sale a few weekends ago. Until Emma came over he was a bit scared to drive it. Nothing like another kid wanting to try out your new toy - he grew the courage right away!

Emma letting Evan smell her lilac. Every time Evan smells flowers he says "Mmmm, yeah!"
Evan thought he needed to try out his Exersaucer one last time - notice his knees are touching the base. I can't believe how much he has grown in the past year!

Evan pulling Emma along in his red wagon.

Derek pulling the kids along (notice they both have pom-poms and Emma is wearing a plastic Vikings helmet...oh, the things you find in your attic...)

What a difference a few days makes! Last weekend it was 38 - today it was 85! We go from pictures of Evan in his winter jacket to photos of him in the pool! Gotta' love Minnesota...
