LESSON LEARNED:

If your child is quiet for any length of time, you need to go check on him - and not assume that he is quietly playing...

Ten minutes ago Evan was busily playing with his new Farm Set from Justin and Katie. Naturally, Emily took the opportunity to check her email and play around on Facebook. Not a good idea. Evan decided that farming with real dirt would be much more fun than playing farmer with fake dirt...LESSON LEARNED.

He may be a little stinker but I love him anyway...

UPDATE:

$5 and 40 minutes later... don't worry, I still learned my lesson.

I bought two yards of canvas a week ago intending to sew a sleeve/cover for this particular plant. After tonight's incident I figured now was as good a time as any.

Evan checking out my craftsmanship.
"Mom, what happened? You covered up my play dirt."

That is probably my favorite picture of you and Evan - what a beautiful picture of the two of you!!! I love your sense of humor and haven't watched your video yet, but love it! Totally agree with that quiet thing -it's usually never a good thing! :)

OMG - I am laughing so hard! I can't believe how much dirt you have ALL OVER YOUR HOUSE!!! Oh, Em - what a story to remember! At least he was cute in trying to use real dirt for his poor farmers. Wanted them to get a taste of the real thing. He's so freakin' adorable, even though he was a bit of a trouble maker tonight. :)

You are right, when it's too quiet there's something that shouldn't be happening! How cute is he with his dirt filled hands and pretty proud look on his face. I think he may just need a dirt box this summer...outside!

That is hilarious!!! Of course you need real dirt when farming, and how cute is that that he figured something out like that at his age. Great memory to remember for sure!

Hope all is well with you guys!
