So it's Thursday and I'm still at work...
We had a doctor appointment this morning and I am now dilated to 3-3.5 cm and 80% effaced. Still having contractions but getting better sleep! (Yay!) I'm hoping that by this weekend we'll be in the hospital, but who knows. At least if I have to be induced on Tuesday it may go a little easier, so I'm told.
So, no news yet. We'll let everyone know if something happens!
p.s. No pictures today. I'm done with pictures. I'm huge, hot and have had virtually no sleep for four days. It was 97 degrees here today and you could practically swim in the air it was so thick. I really don't want to look back and remember how this felt. Hopefully the next pictures on this site will be POST delivery and of a new baby boy!

40 Weeks
Well...we've officially hit 39 weeks, 6 days and 16 hours. (Not that we're counting or anything.) We had a doctor appointment this afternoon and I'm barely dilated to one and not really thinned out at all. I've been up since 3:30 this morning with really painful (fake) contractions that are spaced out anywhere between 6 and 25 minutes. Its been a fun day.
We are both ready for the little one to enter this world and so is our doctor. "Junior" measured at 41 weeks today and we are scheduled for an induction on the 31st if he doesn't decide to come before then. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do...these fake contractions hurt SO much and having them "reach around his head" to check to see how dilated I am actually brought me to tears.
So, for now, I'm back to work tomorrow and poor Jeremy is probably going to have to sweat it out on Wednesday (its supposed to be REALLY hot and humid!) We have another doctor appointment scheduled for this Thursday to see if we've progressed at all. Wish us luck! I REALLY don't want to be induced!
On a happy note, we will soon have a new roof and siding on our house. All thanks to that hail storm that came through on Jeremy's birthday. Jeremy is pretty darn excited about that. He tells me he always wanted a tan house, so I think that's what we'll be going with. We'll be sure to take some before and after pictures. The contractor is going to use pictures of our house on his website - we'll be famous! Be sure to send in your requests for autographs...
Ta-ta for now.
~Emily, Jeremy and baby Nelson.
p.s. Yep. He has a name, but we are waiting to make sure he looks like it before we give it to him officially. You'll all just have to wait and see!

DIRTY KITTY.
Well, Jeremy let the cats outside today. Its been nice any dry outside for a while, so where did the cats go? To roll in the dirt of course! Augie got absolutely filthy. Its hard to tell from the pictures...he's actually a bright white cat. You can see the white fur on his tummy that he didn't quite manage to get dirty. His entire body is usually that color.
Jeremy holding Augie as Emily prepares the bath water in the laundry room...
Uh-oh! Hang on for dear life! "Someone is trying to drown me!"
Ever heard of an "Aftermath?" Well, this is Augie MAD - a.k.a. The "AfterBath"
AS for the other kids...no contractions today for the one on his way. Emily is getting a bit uncomfortable and she's really tired most of the time, but hopefully he'll be on his way any day now. Its hard to see from the photos but her belly has dropped considerably. Its a bit easier to breath but hard on the bladder!
Only a week and a half left...
