We enjoy "play-time" every morning at 6:45 while daddy is sleeping. Some mornings I wonder how he sleeps through all the giggles!

The Good News: We are back on-line!

The Bad News: The storm did indeed fry our computer, modem and printer. Apparently, lightning hit one block below us and also one block above us. FYI - it wasn't the outlet juice that fried our computer - it was the telephone line. Janet (Jeremy's Aunt who fixed our computer) said that out of the ten computers she fixed last year from lightning strikes, ALL of them fried through a phone line. This is why our expensive surge protector did nothing for us. Next time we are unplugging the DSL when a storm comes rolling through. So, to make a long story short: Printer = Toast. Computer = Fixed. Oh, and not only did Janet fix our computer, but she gave it a tune up and now it is "lightning fast!" (no pun intended.) She did a great job - if any of you out there are looking for a good computer person she has great rates and really knows her stuff! Just send Jeremy or Emily an email and we will get you her number.

That's all for now. I'm off to bed.

Oh, no!

Just a quick note to say that our modem and printer got FRIED during the storm on Monday. At least, that's what we are assuming, since neither one has worked since then. No modem = no Internet = no blogs for a while.

Emily is really upset that it fried her brand new photo printer that she got (herself) for Christmas. If you see her crying in public, that's probably the reason.

What a BEAUTIFUL DAY is was today! We spent some time outside, raking the yard and pulling weeds. Evan had a blast eating leaves and touching the grass with his bare feet. We started off with sunscreen, shoes, a hat and sunglasses...he managed to keep the hat on almost the entire time but the shoes and sunglasses came off right away.

What a face! Not suite sure what he was thinking here...

My first taste of rice cracker! I had a fun time gumming it up and making a big mess!

This was too funny not to share. Evan's new "thing" is to stand up and bang on the patio door. Tonight (in the rain) I thought it would be cute to get some photos of him from outside the house looking in. I love the one below where he is "eating" the window.

Hug the kitty!

Graham Cracker, anyone?
Thursday night Evan's friend Alejandro came over to play. We love to babysit Ali! He is such a good baby (not that Evan isn't...but Ali is much easier since he isn't crawling quite yet.) Ali is 6 months old and sooooo darn cute! He really liked playing in Evan's Exersaucer and Jumparoo.

Ali also really likes Jonas! He had a fun time squeezing his nose.

Happy Spring!

Its been a while...

It sure has been a while since we last posted! It has been crazy busy at home and at work, and I simply haven't had the time (or the energy.) Now things have calmed down a bit, but with the weather so nice I find it hard to drag myself in front of the computer when we could be enjoying the sunshine.
.
For those of you who have noticed, YES, Evan has a black-eye. We had an accident at the park involving a new stroller, Jonas and a friend's car bumper. Evan wasn't nearly as upset about the situation as I was. All last weekend wherever we went people around us kept whispering "did you see that baby's eye?" "what did that woman do to that poor baby!?" ...and such.
.
Evan is a healed now, but I think from now on his nickname should be "Bruiser."
Here is our "temporary baby restraining device."
(Just kidding.)
Yum... chicken and beets. Beets are messy, but Evan sure loves them!
Concentrating on the pieces of chicken -

After eating beets its almost a given that Evan needs a bath. He sure does love bath time! You can really see his shiner in this photo.

"My favorite thing about a bath is still eating the washcloths."

"Mom, what did you do to me?"

Fishing for kitties with Dad. Baxter and Evan actually DO play together. Its the funniest thing!

Lucky for me, I get to bring Evan to work sometimes. Evan isn't nearly as thrilled about it as I am. He would much rather chew on his toys at home than the ones I have in my office. (Although he does have a certain fascination with yellow highlighters. Luckily he hasn't figured how to get the cap off yet.
