Hoorah! I found a cat toy.

My new "piggy face." It comes with snorts!

Ick! It has fuzzy feathers on it!

Uh-oh... Evan found the dog dish!

Hey everyone, Evan's 7-month photos are in! Due to the flu going around we had to reschedule a few times, so his six-month photos turned out to be 7 1/2 month photos.

Click here to view them. It asks for your email address so it can send you a message when the photos expire (they only stay up for two months.) If you want, you can use one of our email addresses if you know them.

We are planning on spending most of our time this weekend baby-proofing the house. I thought we would have a little more time until he became fully mobile, but going from "somewhat-crawling" to "full-speed-ahead" only took two days.
I like to eat magazines.

Weee! Daddy tosses me HIGH! Mommy gets scared, but Daddy hasn't dropped me... yet.

So serious.

I like to talk on the phone. I don't say much but I really like to listen.

Give me the camera!

Jonas was a sloppy mess from taking a walk on Wednesday, so Jeremy gave him a bath. Here he is all wrapped up snug in a towel.

I can crawl! I have been scooting around for a month or so, but yesterday I really crawled! Mom and Grandma found out that I haven't had enough motivation to actually crawl yet - until they put a magazine down on the floor. I wanted to crunch it, rip it and chew it so bad that I crawled three feet to get there. Hoorah for me! I'm not quite steady yet. I loose my balance sometimes - I've bonked my noggin on a few things the past two days.

Here's my new favorite thing - pulling down all of my toy bins onto the floor and making a BIG mess for Mom and Dad. Now that I am mobile you really have to watch me...I end up in all sorts of places I'm not supposed to be. I already know how to open drawers, and I find things inside that I'm not supposed to play with. Its so much fun to explore!

P.S. Happy Birthday Grandpa H! Hope its as nice in Missouri as it is here today. We went for a nice walk in the sunshine.

Evan's Great-Great Grandma (Emily's Great-Grandma) Marjorie Pedersen passed away last Sunday at the Age of 100. She would have been 101 this past Thursday on the 6th of March. She lived a good, long life and was eager to leave her earth-bound body behind. We traveled to Pipestone, Minnesota for her Funeral this weekend. Evan did exceptionally well in the car (a five hour drive with pit-stops) and was very well behaved all weekend. He was very excited when we got home on Saturday night and didn't go to bed until 10pm!

We arrived in Pipestone on Friday night. After dinner we went swimming in the hotel pool. There were about 20 obnoxious little kids (and big adults) in the pool, so we didn't stay long. It was fun for Evan to play in the pool with his Dad, since Mom is the one who normally takes him swimming.

Here is Evan with his Great-great Uncle Ken Collins. Ken test-piloted the SR-71 Blackbird before its official release. Evan is normally shy around new people, but he went right to Uncle Ken. He thought Ken was loads of fun and kept on grabbing at his chin.

A quick family photo at the church.

It was good to visit with all of my (Emily's) relatives that we haven't seen in a long time. We got a family picture, which is amazing all in itself, but I still can't name everyone.

Evan had a great time tearing apart one of Dad's Auto Trader magazines on the way home. Good thing he had his pacifier in or I'm sure he would have tried to eat the paper. This kept him busy for a good 20 minutes.

Here are the famous windmills that pepper the sides of the road on the way to Pipestone. On Friday the air was so still that none of them were moving, but they were rotating on the way home. We passed a field with over 100 of them at one point. The photos are deceiving - the base of the windmills are over 15 feet wide. You could fit a Volkswagen Beetle in the circle in the center of the blades.

We went swimming at the YMCA! Evan loved it. We don't actually start lessons until tomorrow, but we went for a quick dip to try it out. Evan did good - and even kicked his legs to "swim" around. It was so cute. We would have had a great video but the camera ran out of batteries.

HYSTERICAL. While I was sitting here uploading pictures Evan scooted himself across the floor backwards INTO the cat tree. Honestly - he did it all by himself! What a funny kid. He cracks me up.

It was a busy weekend for all of us. It was nice - we got out of the house more this weekend than we have in the last month! On Friday we went to the San Jose Taiko at the Sheldon Theatre - the drummers were absolutely amazing. Evan stayed home with some friends of ours who (thankfully) agreed to babysit. I was worried, because Evan has been so crabby lately (on account of him being demanding on top of teething) but he didn't fuss too much for them. It gave me hope that someday we might be able to unleash him on a regular babysitter.

On Saturday we had lots of visitors. Even Peyton came over to play! Isn't he cute!? Watch out world - we've got two handsome blond, blue-eyed boys who are gonna take the ladies by storm when they get older (much, much older.)
Peyton is adorable!

What are my toys doing on my FOOD table? I thought I was getting some breakfast and you give me TOYS!? What is wrong with you people???

It was so nice today that we went for a walk. Daddy was taking a nap so poor Jonas didn't get to go with. Its too hard to steer the stroller in the snow and walk the dog at the same time. We had fun - until it started to sprinkle and we had to B-line it home before we got too wet.
