Congratulations Brena!
We went to Brena's Graduation Party today in Eagan. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.
The whole clan (well, almost - we are missing Rex and Dan)
Evan was sooo tired! He didn't get many chances to nap today.
Tango the dog. "Got Treats?"
Evan and Jaxon, playing in the bubbles!
After the Grad Party, we went to Uncle Alex's to celebrate his birthday (next week) and he and Erica's housewarming. There were lots of other babies and fun toys for Evan to play with. Check out those pipes! And Alex looks like he's been working out, too.
Grandpa blowing a raspberry on Evan's cheek (he loves that.)
Mom, Alex and Emily
Alex and Erica - aren't they a cute couple?

Happy 30th Birthday Jeremy!

For Jeremy's 30th Birthday we had a small shin-dig in the backyard with a few close friends and family. It was a fun time - we got nervous when it started to sprinkle, but it cleared up quickly and all was well again. Thanks to everyone who sent or brought cards - a few of them were really funny. He's an old man now, but hopefully he'll always keep his sense of humor! The "Circle of Guys."

Brynn, Peyton and Evan playing with Peyton's golf set. It was a lesson in sharing for all...!

Jim telling Evan a thing or two.

Keith showed Evan how to open the cooler and get ice out of it. Evan had a really fun time trying to hold on to the cubes.

Yummy football.

Here's that "Piggy Face" again!

Bye-bye old garage doors!

Jeremy and his friend from work measuring for door number 2.

Awww, what a soft, cuddly bear! We went to visit Grandma at work at Hallstrom's. They have such fun stuff there.

As a special treat, here is a 30 second video of Evan's new dance moves.

"So You Think You Can Dance?" - the Red Wing auditions! I am proud to say Evan and Grandma made it through the first rounds in Vegas, but were eliminated in after their Pasa Double routine. Better luck next year.

Here Evan is "brushing" Rico.
Evan "helping" Mommy at work.
Yesterday we went to the pool with a few friends. We had a blast! Evan had fun playing in the water jets and chewing on this squirt gun.
Here are some of the girls! Look at how cute they are. (Mahlie, Ava and Delilah here - Heather, Samantha and Haley in the background.)
Walking around with a stick he found at the park. Evan loves sticks. Jonas always steal them and chews them up when Evan finds them in our yard, so this was a special treat.
Uh-oh. Don't EAT it!
Wow, Mom. Look at this BIG tree!
It goes waaaaay up there!
It tastes good, too. This was too funny - Jeremy used to eat bark when he was little! I guess the taste for it runs in the family.

The real deal...

With Bill McNeil...

Did anyone else use to watch News Radio? That was a great show.

Anyway, the real deal with our computer is that it's in the shop. Apparently the lightning strike a few weeks back did more damage than we thought. My digital camera is also toast, but that is just a coincidence. Janet should have our 'puter back to us later this week (hopefully, unless she finds a lot more wrong with it that she initially thought.) I thought I would use my 15 minute break at work to give everyone a quick update.

On the bright side, the weather around here has been beautiful! Evan spent some time in his kiddie pool this weekend, and we tried to spend as much time as possible outside to enjoy the weather. Hopefully, it will be just as nice this coming Sunday. We are having a 30th birthday "party" for Jeremy on Sunday afternoon. I emailed whoever I cold think of, but if I missed you and you would like to come, please let me know. We will have hot dogs, brats, and yummy fixin's. It should be a good time. I can't believe we will soon (July 27!) be giving a FIRST birthday part for Evan! I'll keep you all posted as far as the plans go for that as well.

This will most likely be my last post until our computer is fixed, so I will leave you with two photos I took with my new camera last night:

Technical Difficulties

So here's the scoop...

Our computer, camera and printer are all on the fritz. The computer thinks the printer is a camera, it thinks the camcorder doesn't exist, and the camera thinks that...well, its dead. I think I need to get away from technical devices for a while before my head explodes. Seriously.

EVAN IS WALKING now and I have a great video (no pictures, because the camera is broken, and even if I did have photos I can't get them onto the computer...) but I can't post it, because I can't get it from the video camera to the computer! I would mail out photos, but the printer isn't working either (we got a brand new one.)

AHHHH! I am so frustrated!!! Please try to have patience with us, because I ran out of it long ago. Hopefully Jeremy's Aunt Janet can come over and help us fix this situation before I lose it and throw the dang thing through the window.

So, to sum up - Evan started walking (for real) on Saturday! He cruises all over the place now. And he also learned how to dance. We have been having loads of fun - I'll make sure to post some videos once we're able.

Ta-Ta for now. I'm off to bed to dream of a world free of technology and migraines.

We have been incredibly busy the last week or so, and a storm is rolling in so I'll have to make this brief (and no time to upload photos, sorry!) I'll try to update with pictures again this weekend.

Evan has officially said his first word! "Num-num" - meaning "I'm hungry. I want some food, please!" He has, of course, been babbling "mama" and "dada" and such for the past few months, but this time he definitely meant it! It was even accompanied by a hand-gesture. We have been trying to teach him signing, since babies catch on quicker, and he seems to get so frustrated when he thinks you don't know what he is trying to say. Unfortunately, he understands our signs, but doesn't feel the need to use them to communicate with us. It will be so much easier when he can finally talk!

Oh, and he can "walk" from one place to the next, provided they are only a foot or so apart.

So - that's all for now. I will update more later. For now I'm going to unplug the ole' 'puter and ride out the storm.
