Each year, Jeremy's Uncle Mike and Aunt Sandy host a fabulous 4th of July party. The fireworks are always fabulous, and this year they did not disappoint! It was a long day for us, and we missed the picnic, but made it in time for some lawn golf and sparklers.

I took some photos of our garden earlier that day. It hasn't been the best season so far, but we are still able to enjoy some of the blooms.

...and cats. Here they sit by the patio door in unison, daydreaming about being outside and eating the baby birds hopping around our yard. Not a chance, kitties!
