Honeymoon Photos - Sept. 15-17, 2007

Here are some photos from our Honeymoon in Duluth, Minnesota. We would have liked to stay longer than three days but, unfortunately, we both had to go back to work.

Most of the photos are really grainy. We didn't have a digital camera with so we took pictures with out video camera. They didn't turn out so well but he video turned out great. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite (WAY worth the money after walking all over creation on Saturday!) and visited pretty much all that we could squeeze in in two and a half days.

We left on Friday morning for the drive up to Duluth. After we got there we unpacked and set off for the pier. On the way there we ate at Red Lobster (mmm...cheddar bay biscuits!) and visited the Great Lakes Aquarium. We watched the boats at the pier for a while and toured the shipwreck museum where Emily almost fell asleep. Boats aren't her thing.

A way-cool Jellyfish at the Aquarium. Emily was transfixed and watched them for, like, 20 minutes.

Saturday we had a really busy day. We toured the Leif Erickson Rose Garden, walked along the Lake Superior waterfront, Visited the Glensheen Mansion (way cool!) and stopped at a roadside petting zoo on the North Shore drive to Gooseberry Falls and the Split Rock Lighthouse. Whew! The jacuzzi tub felt really good on our feet when we made it back to the hotel that night! We don't have many pictures from this day to post. We were too busy driving and walking all over creation to think about taking many pictures...

Emily and Jeremy at Gooseberry Falls. The water was a bit low...more like "Gooseberry Trickle" but it was still beautiful.

On Sunday we visited another mansion in Superior, Wisconsin (neither one of us can remember the name,) spent the day at the Duluth Zoo and drove back to Red Wing. Although the mansion adn the zoo were cool, the absolute bast part of the day was the albino squirrel that Jeremy spotted on the way to Superior. We actually took a wrong turn and got lost and he happened to glance at it in front of someone's house. They probabaly thought we were weird becuase we sat out in our car an filmed the dang thing for about 10 minutes. We really had to zoom in to catch a glimps so the photo is really grainy. He was so cute! If we could have caught him we probabaly would have taken him home with us... you know us and pets...

Rocko, the Amazing Albino Squirrel!

Emily riding a turtle at the zoo. Don't worry, he didn't mind.

Jeremy riding a frog (he was friends with the turtle, and also didn't mind.)
